Eleven Months
Juliet is 11 months old. It is hard to imagine she will celebrate her birthday in no time at all.
Juliet is officially a walker! She just decided one day to walk everywhere, and rarely crawls anymore. Since she is still pretty small, it is surprising to see her toddling around. Pretty adorable.
I think we can officially say "hi" is Juliet's first word. She waves and says "haaaa" whenever she sees family. She also says "Da!" pretty consistently when she sees Peter.
Whenever Juliet sees a baby doll or stuffed animal she has to give it a hug. It is so sweet. She'll get one of DJ's de-stuffed animals out of his toy basket and carry it around the house. She loves putting on necklaces, and tries to put everything over her head. She got a fuzzy rope from DJ's toy basket and walked around with it on like a scarf for days. It is adorable.
Juliet has such an adorable personality! She plays by herself sometimes but only when she decides, not if you leave her - that just makes her sad. She'll wander off and be quite happy but hates to see anyone walking away from her. She smiles easily, loves to be shy and hide on my shoulder when she meets someone new, babbles and shrieks, and learned this month how to point. She points at everything!
Something clicked and Juliet finally sleeps until 6am or so. Thank goodness! She is usually in bed by 7:15 and sleeps all night. At home she takes two naps, about an hour to 90 minutes, at 8:30am and 1pm. She only drinks about 20oz of formula a day now, but eats like a champ. She usually eats as much or more than Ben does!
Peek-a-boo is Juliet's new game of choice. She will put something in front of her face, or cover her face with her hands, and then pop out grinning! You have to say "peek-a-boo!" of course.
My unofficial measurements put her at __lbs and __" (TBD!). She is still a petite little thing! Her 12 month measurements will be a little late since I'll wait and take her with Ben for his 3 year appointment. I'm anxious to hear the doctors estimate of her growth chart placement. She fits well in her 12-month clothes, and has mostly outgrown her 9-month pants but can still wear some of the shirts.
