Fourteen Months
Juliet is fourteen months old!
Juliet hasn't expanded her vocabulary much since last month but you can tell she is learning everyday. She can now sign for "more," and will point to her head, nose, and tummy. The last involves lifting up her shirt to actually show you her tummy. Keep this girl away from Mardi Gras!
In the morning, Ben watches cartoons and has cheerios while we get ready for work. Juliet now loves sitting next to him on the couch and having her own cheerios. It is so cute to see them sitting there together.
Juliet is still a great eater but is getting a little pickier. There isn't much meat that she really enjoys, and she doesn't gobble down veggies with quite the same enthusiasm that she used to. But she consistently eats as much as Ben, and is getting a lot better about drinking her milk out of a cup.
We are down to just a morning and bedtime bottle still, and I only have a few weeks to give them up. I think Juliet would be fine without them, it is just so convenient and makes me feel better, knowing how much milk she's drinking. Her pediatrician wants her off bottles by 15 months so I'd better get tough soon!
Sleep schedule remains about the same. Two naps at home, one or two at daycare, 7pm bedtime, 5:30ish wakeup. She almost always sleeps through the night, unless she's working on some teeth or not feeling good for some other reason. Now if I could just get Ben to go potty at night without my help...
We'll have to wait for JJ's 15-month checkup for her official stats, but she is still wearing 12-month clothes. She does bump her head on the kitchen table now, and when someone is holding her she is starting to look very tall. Her walk is more coordinated and there isn't much baby left when you watch her!
