Thirteen Months

Juliet is thirteen months old!

  • First, I'd like to mention that Juliet finally has more than two teeth. Her top two have broken through and are even starting to be noticeable when she smiles!

  • Her hair is getting so long, but just in the back, and it curls up in little perfect circles. I love it.

  • We can ask Juliet to do just about anything and she can follow the directions. She points at everything and talks like crazy, but we still can't understand much. We're pretty sure she has consistent noises for DJ and mommy and daddy, and her best (and favorite) word is baby. She talk constantly, though, so as soon as she starts figuring out real words we're going to have quite a chatterbox on our hands.

  • After a few blissful weeks of sleeping until 7am, Juliet is back to waking up early, usually by 5:30am. She takes great naps at home but usually only one at school, sometimes quite short. I'm looking forward to her moving up to the toddler room in a few more months where they all nap from 12-2, I really think that will help.

  • I forgot to weigh and measure Juliet this month, but she still wears all her 12-month clothes. She looks taller, though, and now can bump her head on the kitchen table. She learned that one the hard way!

  • Juliet loves to climb, but has a cautious streak - she already knows how to get down off furniture the safe way, though we definitely still keep an eye on her. The next series of photos shows the latest challenge getting a good monthly photo:
