San Antonio

We took a quick trip to San Antonio this weekend and had a wonderful time. We drove over after work on Thursday with a break for dinner, thinking the kids would fall asleep in the car... Juliet didn't fall asleep until about 9pm and Ben was awake when we got to San Antonio at 10:15! Luckily they both got a good night's sleep and were ready to go to Sea World on Friday.

Juliet loved the Sesame Street show.
Can you see her way in front of me?

I am in the black and white striped shirt
and here you can see how far Juliet crept up
to watch the show better.

SeaWorld has a great kids' area with a splash pad, huge climbing structure, and kiddie rides; we could have spent the whole day there. We also saw most of the shows and animal exhibits, and Juliet was a trooper skipping her nap. She was asleep in the car before we made it out of the parking lot!

Saturday we went to Fiesta Texas. Ben is a crazy man for the roller coasters! He is exactly 42" with shoes on so he was able to go on some pretty serious rides. He loved them all and went on most of them more than once. For an example, check out this ride - he did this one three times - and this one that he did twice. Juliet was pretty fussy when we got there but a little push around in the stroller helped her take a little nap and then she was ready for any ride they'd let her on. She was definitely a little jealous of Ben getting to go on more rides, and I think as soon as she's tall enough she'll be on there with him.

Sunday morning we relaxed with Lauren and Vito in their beautiful new house. Their daughter Harper is only 3 days older than Juliet, and it was so fun to watch all the kids play together. It was so nice of them to let us stay there after moving in just a couple months ago; what a wonderful home base! I was so busy visiting and having fun with the kids that I barely took any pictures. We'll definitely be back in the spring!
