Since this was our niece Maegan's last spring break before starting college, she got to suggest a trip, and she really wanted to do a family ski trip! We managed to rent the same house we did five years ago and it worked great for our big crew.
Ben and Juliet both did three days of ski school. By the end of the trip, Ben could ski pretty well on his own! Juliet had a lot of fun trying, and was pretty fearless about going down the mountain but needed a lot of help. Ben actually got annoyed when you tried to help him too much. I didn't take a ton of pictures (was just starting to feel really tired from baby #3! and was just too busy!) but got some great video of them skiing.
And here is the best evidence of Ben's ability to ski! Hear him yell excitedly when he starts to go faster? And watch until the very end - he gets taken out by a snowboarder, probably not for the last time!

And Juliet's experience with Daddy on the "big mountain" - you can't tell because she is so bundled up, but she totally loved it.

Unfortunately, after choosing the trip herself, on Maegan's 1st, there was an accident. A younger skiier came across the slopes and ran into Maegan, knocking them both into a stand of trees. Ski patrol was great, and got Maegan safely down the mountain. After thinking she was just shaken up, it became clear it was more serious - Maegan ended up in Denver in the ICU for the rest of the week with an injured kidney. What a bummer!
