Sibling Class
Peter and I decided we didn't really need to do any of the childbirth classes this time around, but when I heard they did a sibling class at the hospital, I thought that sounded great for the kids. The class started in a classroom where they learned about how to hold a baby, change its diaper, and swaddle it. Then they got to paint shirts for the baby before taking a tour to see the room where the baby would be born. Finally, they stood at the nursery window while a nurse held up a newborn so they could see how small he is, and his umbilical cord stump. The kids really loved it, and can actually tell you some of the things they learned - I call that a success!
