Cold Swim!

After swimming everyday, usually twice a day, during the summer, the kids were suffering pool withdrawal in November! So on a warm day, even though the pool water was NOT warm, they couldn't resist jumping in!

Thanksgiving 2015

Since Evelyn was due the Friday after Thanksgiving, none of the grandparents made plans to travel for the holiday so they could be around for her birth. Since she was born a week and a half early, she was here to spend Thanksgiving with us! Everyone came to our house and brought all the traditional Thanksgiving dishes, so I didn't have to cook anything. It was a wonderful holiday to spend with our new baby girl and all her grandparents!

First Bath

Evelyn kicked off her umbilical cord stump during a diaper change, so she got to take a bath pretty early! She didn't fuss at all and the kids were fascinated with her baby tub.

Children's Museum

Shortly after we moved here, a great little Children's Museum was opened here in Beaumont. Thanks to the help of dedicated staff and volunteers, it is a fun place for the kids to visit! They really love it there and have a blast every time we go.

Hospital Stay

Since Evelyn was born in the middle of the night, we were fortunate to be released after only 36 hours in the hospital. We had a lot of great time with the kids visiting and just quiet time snuggling Evelyn. I finally remembered to take a picture with my doctor - since this is the first time my OB has actually gotten to deliver my baby, I think that's appropriate!

Meeting the Family

Grandma and Grandpa/Peepaw brought Ben and Juliet by the hospital before taking them to school so they could meet Evelyn right away. The first thing Ben said when he saw her was that her ears are so tiny! Then he listed everything about her that is tiny. Juliet just seemed in awe! They were very gently with her and very excited to get to hold her. Of course Grandma and Peepaw got their snuggles in too. Nana and Mike came to visit as soon as they could drive over. Lucky baby Evelyn to get so many visitors her first day of life!
