The Dentist!

Ben had his first dentist appointment! Ben kind of likes going to the doctor, so we started talking about the dentist as soon as I made the appointment, a couple weeks ahead of time. We had one round of "I don't want to go to the dentist" but mostly he just asked when he got to go. It helped that first we went to IHOP!

Ben did great!! He looks a little tense in the first picture but he really wasn't. They even go to use the real dentist tools to clean his teeth and put on fluoride, and he did everything the dentist asked.

To prepare for the denist, we'd been reading The Berenstein Bears go to the Dentist, which combines a trip to the dentist with Sister Bear losing her first tooth, which the dentist pulls for her. As I was buckling Ben into his carseat after his appointment, he gasped, and said "Mommy! My teeth forgot to fall out!" I guess that book was a little confusing...
